AIRCRAFT INFO!

Bob has been a member of the Model National organization since 1963, called Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA).

Bob built his own proportional remote control radio in 1966 with 8 channels. This allowed Engine, Rudder, Elevator, Aileron, Flaps, Retract Gear, etc. The 27 MHz Radio was retired in 1980.

Bob  designed a model kit of the RYAN STA aircraft with a wing span of 66 inches in 1967 and flew it in the 1967 AMA Nationals held in California .  101 kits were sold through out the U.S.

He use to fly with several clubs (ARCS & PACS) in Glendale, Arizona.

There is a local club in Lake Havasu City called the Desert Hawks. He hopes to join it sometime this year with a flyable aircraft.
