The Club has provided Open and Closed Course boat patrol services for several lake events each year. For the closed course events we provided lighted perimeter buoys, patrol boats at permiter stations and a rover boat. For Open Course events we normally just provide patrol boats to secure Coast Guard identified safety zones and/or act as race course pivot points. In any event we will work with the Coast Guard, C.G. Aux., Sheriff, Police Department, and State Parks to provide the best safety conditions possible. All patrol boats have banners, marine FM radios and air horn or other sounding device. The patrols are all manned by Club Members and a event Patrol Coordinator. For many events the Club provides refreshments, lunches etc. The Club usually does a critique for each event to identify any safety concerns we should address if there is to be another event.
